In this blog post, I’ll cover Power Pages, a low-code SaaS service that allows you to create secure and customizable portals on the Power Platform.
What are Powe Pages?
Before I describe the steps to create a Power Pages portal, it would be good to understand what Power Pages are. Power Pages allow users to create websites that can securely integrate with Dataverse. Power Pages can also integrate with business applications such as Dyn365, Power Apps, MS 365, etc.
Prerequisites
- An active MS Power Platform license
- A Power Platform environment
Let’s roll!
Sign in to https://make.powerpages.microsoft.com
In the top right drop-down list, select the environment in which you want to create your power page site.
In this example, I will create an blank portal, but you can choose to create another one using any of the available templates.
Type a new name for the site and add a unique web address and tap Done. (you can customize the URL and name afterwards).
Changing the name should not cause problems, but changing the URL of the environment will cause problems, specifically, if you use the URL in power automate flows or other power platform components.
A few minutes later, the portal will deploy. The last step in this post will be to add a new component.
There is always, of course, the option of choosing different components add to the first page.
On the main screen choose to add a Form component
Then, tap to create a + New form
Fill up all the necessary fields in Form, Data, On submit, CAPTCHA, Attachments, AI form fill, and tap OK.
